Tailored Engineering for Mission-Critical Environments

Different sectors impose unique thermal, environmental, and operational stresses on projection architecture. We engineer our repair and maintenance protocols to meet the specific SLA demands of your industry.

Higher Education

Lecture Theatre & Campus Fleets

Universities rely heavily on the Panasonic PT-MZ and PT-VZ series. Operating in bright, often dusty lecture halls for 8-12 hours a day, these 3LCD units are highly susceptible to optical degradation and filter blockages.

We understand that AV downtime during term time is unacceptable. Our engineering processes are designed for rapid turnaround and long-term stability in high-usage environments.

  • Polariser Upgrades: Replacing burnt organic blue polarisers with heat-resistant inorganic glass to permanently cure "yellowing" images.
  • Fleet Maintenance SLAs: Scheduled strip-and-clean services to remove dust blobs from LCD prism blocks during holiday periods.
  • Thermal Recalibration: Deep cleaning of Eco-Filters and cooling pathways to prevent thermal shutdowns mid-lecture.
Common Field Fault: Optical Yellowing

Prolonged daily operation degrades the blue channel's polarising filter. This presents as an uncorrectable yellow or green tint across the entire projected image. We resolve this definitively with inorganic glass upgrades.

Executive Boardrooms & Hybrid Spaces

In corporate environments, the PT-FRQ and PT-RZ series are expected to operate silently while providing flawless connectivity for complex hybrid meetings. Failures here are highly visible and disruptive.

We focus on resolving intricate control board faults, connectivity drops, and mechanical noise that distracts from the presentation.

  • Mainboard BGA Rework: Component-level repair of HDMI and HDBaseT handshake issues without the cost of full board replacements.
  • Acoustic Remediation: Replacing failing phosphor wheel ceramic bearings and cooling fans to restore whisper-quiet operation.
  • Laser Diode Balancing: Recalibrating PWM driver voltages to restore brightness in aging laser banks.
Common Field Fault: Digital Link / No Signal

Projectors displaying a constant "No Signal" blue screen despite verified active HDBaseT/HDMI connections typically suffer from a degraded signal processing IC. We repair these mainboards at the component level.

Government & Control

24/7 Data Visualisation Environments

Command centres, NOCs, and government facilities utilise high-end 3-Chip DLP™ and laser systems in "always-on" configurations. The thermal load on these machines is immense, leading to specific failure modes in the cooling loops and light engines.

We provide discreet, highly secure logistics and uncompromising repair standards to ensure these critical visualisation tools remain operational.

  • Liquid Cooling Refurbishment: Flushing coolant lines and replacing cavitating pumps in PT-RQ and PT-RZ models to resolve critical thermal shutdowns.
  • Secure Data Protocols: Complete physical destruction and firmware wiping of network logic boards upon decommissioning or replacement.
  • DMD Chip Replacement: Resolving the "starfield effect" (dead/stuck pixels) critical in environments where data accuracy is paramount.
Common Field Fault: Pump Cavitation (Thermal)

In 24/7 operation, the liquid cooling pumps in high-lumen units experience extreme mechanical wear. This restricts coolant flow, triggering a 3-blink TEMP error and instant thermal shutdown to protect the laser bank.

Large Venue & Multi-Array Projection

The flagship PT-RQ50K and PT-DZ21K models deployed in arenas, museums, and flight simulators are subjected to transport shock and require absolute optical perfection for edge-blending and projection mapping.

Our laboratory is equipped to handle the heavy lifting and micro-precision required for 3-Chip platforms.

  • 6-Axis Convergence Alignment: Using micro-adjusters to physically realign the Red, Green, and Blue DMD chips for perfect pixel convergence, eliminating colour fringing.
  • Colorimetry Calibration: Utilising Klein K-10A sensors to match EOTF gamma tracking and chromaticity across multi-projector arrays.
  • Integrator Tunnel Cleaning: Removing internal haze to restore uniform brightness and eliminate colour shading in the corners of the image.
Common Field Fault: Convergence Drift

Heavy vibration during transport frequently knocks the massive 3-Chip prism block out of alignment. This manifests as blurred text with distinct red, green, or blue shadows (fringing), requiring laboratory-grade optical realignment.

Corporate ESG & Compliance

Sustainable Asset Decommissioning

When high-lumen projection assets reach the end of their operational lifecycle, responsible decommissioning is paramount. We offer fully compliant WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) recycling and asset disposal services designed specifically for enterprise and government clients.

Secure Data Sanitisation

Modern networked projectors hold sensitive information, including network topologies and access credentials. We perform physical destruction and firmware wipes of logic boards, issuing certificates of data destruction for your IT security compliance.

Rare Earth Recovery

Projection hardware contains highly specialised materials. We dismantle laser diode banks, phosphor wheels, and dichroic prisms to ensure the proper extraction and recycling of rare earth metals, maintaining a strict zero-to-landfill policy.

ESG Documentation

Sustainability is critical to corporate governance. We provide full traceability and environmental impact reporting for every decommissioned unit, supplying the necessary documentation to support your organisation's ESG targets.
