Comprehensive Component-Level Repair for Panasonic Architectures

We do not rely on expensive module swaps. Our laboratory is equipped to perform deep-level optical surgery and PCB reflowing across Panasonic's three primary projection technologies, saving enterprise clients significant capital expenditure.

SOLID SHINE™ Laser Repair

Panasonic’s laser-phosphor technology eliminates the need for consumable lamps, but the assumption that these units are "maintenance-free" is a costly industry myth. The extreme thermal load generated by the laser diode banks places immense stress on the internal liquid cooling loops and moving optical components.

We are one of the few independent facilities in Europe capable of opening and servicing sealed laser optical blocks in an ISO Class 6 cleanroom environment, preventing catastrophic light loss and thermal shutdowns.

  • Diode Bank Balancing: Recalibrating PWM driver profiles to restore uniform luminance across aging laser arrays.
  • Liquid Cooling Refurbishment: Flushing coolant lines and replacing cavitating pumps in the PT-RZ and PT-RQ series to resolve thermal runaway.
  • Phosphor Wheel Rework: Replacing worn ceramic bearings to eliminate high-pitched grinding noises and synchronisation failures.
Diagnostic Marker: 7-Blink LIGHT Error

If the LIGHT indicator flashes red seven times before shutdown, the light generation stage has failed. This requires immediate component-level intervention on the diode deck or phosphor assembly.

3-Chip DLP™ & DMD Repair

The workhorses of the rental, staging, and simulation industries. 3-Chip DLP architecture delivers flawless colour accuracy and extreme brightness, but it requires absolute microscopic precision. Transport shock, thermal stress, or failing DMD chips can rapidly degrade image quality.

Our engineers utilise 6-axis micro-adjustment rigs and Minolta colorimetry tools to bring these massive optical engines back to exact Rec. 2020 or DCI-P3 factory alignment.

  • 6-Axis Convergence Alignment: Physically realigning the Red, Green, and Blue DMD chips to eliminate colour fringing (blurry, coloured shadows around text).
  • DMD Chip Replacement: Curing the "starfield effect" (dead or stuck white/black pixels) by extracting and replacing individual Texas Instruments DMD arrays.
  • Integrator Tunnel Cleaning: Removing internal optical haze to restore uniform brightness and eliminate colour shading in the corners of the projection.
Diagnostic Marker: Convergence Drift

If 4K grid lines appear soft with distinct red or blue halos, the heavy 3-Chip prism block has suffered transport shock. Software alignment cannot fix this; it requires physical laboratory realignment.

3LCD Optical Engine Restoration

3LCD systems combine a laser or lamp light source with three individual Liquid Crystal Display panels. While delivering exceptional colour saturation, the organic components within these optical blocks are highly susceptible to UV degradation and heat damage over thousands of hours of use.

Rather than quoting for a complete optical block replacement—which often costs more than the projector's residual value—we rebuild the engine at the component level.

  • Inorganic Polariser Upgrades: Replacing burnt organic filters with heat-resistant inorganic glass to permanently cure uncorrectable yellow or green screen tints.
  • Cleanroom Prism Servicing: Safely dismantling the dichroic prism to remove microscopic dust blobs that appear as out-of-focus coloured spots on dark scenes.
  • Dynamic Iris Repair: Resolving OSD iris errors by replacing stripped gear mechanisms to restore absolute black levels.
Diagnostic Marker: Solid FILTER Light

If the filter light remains solid red despite cleaning, airflow is severely restricted. Overriding this warning will rapidly warp the internal LCD panels, leading to permanent optical damage.
